Hello I’m Lynsey
Mum to twins Cali & Laci (6 years old… going on 16) and our illusive cat Rocky, and partner to Colin - my biggest cheerleader.
We lucky enough to live in the East Neuk of Fife. It makes for some amazing backdrops for outdoor shoots. It’s beautiful. The community we have here around our close fishing villages is really a very special thing.
As well as this job, my roles also include social event manager (all birthday parties, dentist appointments and the like), household inventory manager (orders ASDA shops and main contact point for finding anything in the house), personal shopper, personal chef to all residents, project manager of the washing and general captain of the crazy ship.
I seem to have this natural draw to people… I did an honours degree in Psychology, because I’m interested in people and how a person becomes that person. Then I went into sales, because I liked chatting & getting to know people…
So I blinked, and then ended up as a marketing professional in the commercial healthcare industry, with 20 years [OMG] experience in industry under my belt!
Recently, I took the plunge to leave a [very] long career in the commercial world to fly solo on the photography business… like everyone - trying to find that utopia of a better work/life balance!
So far so good! I’m really enjoying variation in everything I need to do in the business… from building this website, to the variety of shoots I do and the people I meet, and having more time to keep investing into my skills to always be improving and never settling on standards (AKA control freak with perfectionist traits…)
In other news… I drink far too much coffee, I lie to myself a lot every week, about not drinking any wine on week days… and I have a dusty treadmill.
